Inspiration

I have two people that are inspirational to me. The first person is my boyfriend, Marco. His drive to be physically active and stay in shape is CRAZY!!! He goes to the gym almost everyday, goes rock climbing at least 3 times a week, and plays on two soccer teams! I find his motivation quite inspirational, and I want to be able to keep up with him.

The other person who is an inspiration to me is my mommy. Her drive to stay fit is crazy as well. She does the spin bike for almost an hour and lifts weights everyday at 5:00am!!!

How can you not be inspired by both of their efforts??!!

My Motivation

My motivation for change is two-fold. First, I would like to tone up my body. Second, I have always been an athletic person and when I started grad school I fell of the exercise wagon. So I would like to get back to my old self. Plus, I feel better physically and mentally when I work out on a regular basis. Moreover, the goal I set for myself was actually my New Year's resolution so this project just gave me even more motivation to accomplish it!!!

Update: For the last three weeks I have worked out 5-6 times for 45 minutes!!! Wooohooo!!!

a) Goal and Plan of Action

My goal is to do a minimum of 20 minutes of cardio at least three times a week. Due to the fact that I do not have the will power to exercise at the end of the day, my plan of action is to work out in the mornings. Thus, this means that I will need to wake up at 4:45 am to work out. Consequently, part of my plan is to go to sleep earlier (preferably around 11pm) so I can actually drag myself out of bed at the ungodly hour of 4:45 am. Wish me luck everybody!!!
